Donors and partners

WUCT is fortunate to be supported by a significant number of donors and partners.  See below a few comments from just a few of them as to why they choose to support WUCT.

Department of Social Development

Westlake United Church Trust does excellent work in the Westlake Community.
Mr. D. Monteiro, Department Social Development

WUCT is innovative in taking the needs and ambitions of the Westlake Villagers to the door step of government and pushing them to deliver on services and is community development per excellence. By acting as a reliable partner to government they have been able to establish services, like the HBC programme that would not have existed. In Rhoda Kadalie’s words, “WUCT is evidence of a community taking its destiny into its own hands”.

Mackay Family Foundation

“The Mackay Family Foundation’s main objective is to help fund educational organisations. We choose to fund WUCT as it is well managed, and staffed by responsible and capable people. It also has an established track record and the progress made to date with the Emmanuel Educare is impressive
Gus Thompson, Trustee

Whilst WooThemes sell digital products and our staff solve quite different problems to the WUCT team, we’re big believers in the reach and impact our products can have on individuals and communities. WUCT is a fantastic cause making a real difference in Cape Town. With Cape Town housing our headquarters it’s important for us to give back in whatever small form we can to local communities and we feel WUCT is the perfect partner to align with to do that.

Yuppiechef is really proud to be able to support an organisation which provides such great services to its community.
Mandy Kerr, Human Resources Manager

Westlake United Church Trust is proud to have been born out of the work of many cross-demoninational group of churches based in the Constantia and Tokai areas surrounding Cape Town.

Trinity Presbyterian Church, Meadowridge

Trinity Presbyterian Church has been central to the development of Westlake United Church Trust (WUCT). We believe that we all have a responsibility to reach out to those communities less fortunate than ourselves and as such are carrying out God’s work. Whilst WUCT is a non-secular organisation, providing health, education and information to all residents of Westlake Village, we believe it represents the work of Jesus by reaching out to all the residents of Westlake Village.

Mountain View Baptist Church, Lakeside

Mountain View Baptist Church’s, Kevin Daines, sees WUCT as a way to obey the word of God in showing the love of Christ in the community and reaching out with the Gospel to them. Kevin continues to promote and support WUCT as it is a very well run and organised Trust, that is active in the work that is done.
