Partnerships feeding Our Community

25 May

Food parcel with a week’s food.

8 weeks ago, we entered into a 21-day Lockdown. We knew the impact of the Lockdown would be felt hardest by the most vulnerable in our Ward 71,CT community: those already below the poverty line and those on it.

We created a Partnership Program to identify households in our Ward that would not be able to access a single meal a day and provide them with that meal. We set out to support 500 households.

To date our Program has provided 48,524 meals. We could only have done this with the generous support we have received from you – our neighbours and local businesses.

Our beneficiaries, and we, thank you for your kindness and support.

The Lockdown extension is causing more and more households to fall onto hard times. Last week, we reached our 500 vulnerable households cap, and yet the number of households increases each week. We need to ask you to please continue supporting our vulnerable neighbours to prevent them from starving. All and any donations will be gratefully accepted.
