Farewell to Dave Barnes, Manager.

On Wednesday 24th August, the staff said goodbye to Dave Barnes, our manager for the past ten years, in the hall last Wednesday. We are all sad to see him go, we will miss him, but we wish him well in his retirement. Richard Saner has been appointed as our new manager.

New from our crafts department

Our crafts dept is producing cute teddy bears and colourful rhinos. If anyone wants to support these hard working women, the rhinos are being sold at R100 and teddy bears R200. Please send your details and we will contact you.

Visit to Logos Hope

Certificates for our home based carers!

Congratulations to Veronica whose hard work with clients on ART (anti retro viral treatment) has been rewarded with a Gold Certificate from the Department of Health and City of Cape Town.

Great excitement in the office today as certificates were handed out to our carers who attended the CIMCI (Community Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses) training. Also three carers received their HW SETA certificates for Ancillary Healthcare. And Dept of Health has awarded WUCT a Certificate of Appreciation! Congratulations, everyone. Tree Planting at Westlake United Church Trust

WUCT is blossoming! Greenpop planted another ten trees on our campus on Friday 22nd– it was an exciting event. The Emmanuel’s Grade children were involved and the opportunity was used to teach them how important trees are, and how to care for them.
