A house caught fire in the early hours of Saturday morning (3 October) and was completely gutted, everything destroyed. The owner of the house, Silpha Dreyer, is devastated. Her partner, who was a member of our CDL support group, died of smoke inhalation. We have been trying to help her and her two daughters and grand daughter (2 years old) to rebuild their lives. However, the house will need to be completely restored. Any donations in the way of building materials, paint, etc would be appreciated. They will also need furniture, kitchen appliances, etc. Silpha is a well known and well-liked member of the Westlake community and a member of the ACTS Mission church. She helps the community whenever she can and feeds the children in her street. We send her our condolences on her loss.
