Flooding in Westlake Village

04 Jun

Westlake United Church Trust (WUCT) assisted the community by ordering one ton of sand which was put into sandbags to keep the water from coming into their shacks from the ground up, also for the roofs to keep the plastic down. At least 50 shacks were affected.

WUCT is also helping with blankets and food parcels and is asking all readers to help with blankets, towels, food, clothes (children and adults), shoes, etc. Also newspapers and plastic sheeting.

Contact Anthea Thebus on 021 702 1697, between 9am and 3pm, Monday to Friday.
